If it shows up anything less than frozen solid, send us a photo the day it lands and we'll replace it or refund it. No forms, no argument.

What to do with it

  • Grill them slow. Indirect heat, turn them a few times, don't split the casings. They're already seasoned — you don't need to do a thing to them.
  • Andouille and beans. Slice it into a pot of white beans with an onion and let it go. Cheapest good dinner we know.
  • Sheet-pan supper. Brats on a pan with quartered onions and peppers, 400°F until everything catches some color.

Who's raising this

We're a family farm in Monticello, Kentucky. Bob and Colleen run it, and we're building it into something worth handing down. The animals are raised here, the meat is cut and packed here, and when you email the farm, one of us reads it.

We're not a marketplace putting our name on somebody else's meat. If something in this box isn't right, you're not filing a ticket — you're telling the person who raised it.

Questions people ask

How hot is the jalapeño cheddar?
Warm, not punishing. Most people who say they don't do spicy are fine with it. The Andouille is the hotter of the two.
Are these fully cooked?
The Andouille is smoked and just needs heating through. The brats are fresh — cook them to 160°F internal.
How long do they keep?
Frozen, several months with no real loss. Once thawed in the refrigerator, cook within a couple of days.
Can I swap something?
Not at the bundle price, but everything in it is sold individually in the store if you want a different mix.

The Bluegrass Backyard Grill Box is made for backyard cooks who want plenty of juicy, flavorful chicken to grill, smoke or roast. It combines crowd-pleasing dark meat, wings and our specialty Smokey Jalapeño bulk chicken sausage in one freezer-filling box.

Summer Shipping

Your chicken is packed frozen in an insulated shipping box with dry ice. Frozen orders leave the farm on Mondays and Tuesdays to help prevent packages from sitting in a carrier’s facility over the weekend.

Summer overnight shipping is a flat $29.99. Tracking information is provided when your order leaves the farm.

Our chicken products are made without mammalian meat ingredients. Our Smokey Jalapeño chicken sausage is packaged in bulk and does not use mammalian casing or mammalian-derived additives.
