We raise it, cut it, pack it cold, and hand it to the carrier ourselves — from our farm in Kentucky to your kitchen. Here's exactly what it costs and when it lands.
How it works
Everything we send is perishable, so nothing spends more than two days in transit — ever. Close to the farm that's a ground truck. Farther out we put your box on a plane to hold the same two-day promise. That's the whole reason shipping isn't one flat number: it isn't distance we're paying for, it's speed.
The good news: shipping cost drops as your order grows, and disappears entirely past a certain point. A full box costs us barely more to fly than a half-empty one, so we pass that straight to you.

How your box travels
Packed cold
Vacuum-sealed cuts, layered in an insulated liner with reusable ice packs sized to beat a two-day transit with room to spare. It arrives frozen solid.
We ship Mondays & Tuesdays
Early-week only, so your box never sits in a depot over the weekend. Order after Tuesday morning and yours leaves the following Monday.
You'll get tracking
A tracking number hits your inbox the moment your label prints, so you know exactly which day to be home.
No signature needed
Leave it on the porch — the packaging holds. If anything shows up thawed, we replace it. Just send a photo.
Questions we get a lot
Why isn't shipping just free everywhere?
It can be — past your zone's threshold, it is. But because we refuse to let perishable food sit in transit longer than two days, a box headed west has to fly rather than ride, and that genuinely runs us three to four times what a nearby box costs. We'd rather show you that honestly than bake it into every steak's price and charge our Kentucky neighbors for a trip to California.
What if I'm just under the free shipping line?
Add another item — in most cases the shipping you save is more than what you spend. Your cart will tell you how close you are.
Do you ship to Alaska or Hawaii?
Not at the moment. We hold every shipment to a two-day transit so it arrives frozen, and we can't reliably meet that on those routes yet. We'd rather tell you straight than send a box we're not confident in. If that changes, this page is where you'll see it first.
Can I pick up at the farm instead?
Absolutely — choose local pickup at checkout and skip shipping entirely. We'll email you when your order is boxed and ready.
What if my order arrives thawed or damaged?
We replace it, no argument. Send a photo within 24 hours of delivery and we'll get a new box moving.
